How Long Do Treatments Take?

The initial consultation will be done by phone, please allow up to 30mins for this call as I will need to take your case history during this time. All follow up treatments in the clinic are usually 45-55 mins.

 

What Will You Ask Me?

I will ask you about your current symptoms, your medical history, diet, digestive system, sleeping patterns and your emotional wellbeing. You can decide how much information you want to share with me.  It helps with my diagnosis if you can give me as much detail as you're willing to share. 

 

Does it Hurt?

The needles used in acupuncture are not much thicker than a hair. You may feel a little sharpness as the needle goes in  and then most people feel completely calm and relaxed during their treatment.  People often say the needle is like a dull ache or fizzy sensation and many people are surprised at how pain free the treatment is.

 

Will I Need to Remove My Clothes?

You may need to undress, keeping your underwear on, depending on which area of the body I will be treating.  I will leave you to undress in private and give you towels to cover your body, respecting your privacy at all times.  

 

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments will vary depending on your condition. Some  conditions can often be solved in just one or two sessions.
